So this is a drawing completely inspired by a Pokemon RP site my good friend ~key2dawn and I created together at the beginning of this year. What is our site, you ask? It's called Aegeos, and it's a place unlike any other, where tradition carries more value than collecting badges or raising powerful Pokemon. Technology is rejected in most of the region and people choose to live as one with nature.

This region is one where eight Guardians await each and every Trainer and Shaman to test them and their faith in the Order and the mainland fights with Draegil, a syndicate hellbent on bringing technology and its blessings and wonders to Aegeos.

Anyway, about the picture! So, Giratina plays an intricate part of the plot-- it arrives in Aegeos every summer for the Summer Festival, spending a week running rampant in the region, free to do as it pleases as result of an agreement between Arceus itself and Raphael, the original Guardian of Aegeos. Here, Giratina is looking down from the Distortion World into Girasol Shrine, the place from which it arrives every year. In the shrine, the sacred Griseus Orb, left behind by Giratina's first venture into the world, has been fashioned to fit onto a staff to honor the Renegade Pokemon. Upon the stone walls are paintings depicting the legend of Raphael and his eight Pokemon. Arceus has arrived, and is regarding Giratina and Raphael's Pokemon.

The entire thing was done with colored pencil and a bit of white gel pens to really accentuate the white areas. It was scanned and my scanner kinda killed it. OTL I ended up editing bits and pieces of the image in GIMP with filters and the burn tool, but other than that, it was all traditionally done.
